I have still not gotten around to seeing Gran Torino .... Rolling Eyes must do that ...

Watched a few things recently:

Heath Ledger's Casanova
was hilarious - really good, and really funny - he had such a flair for comedy that guy, shame he's no longer with us ...

Red Rock West
Nicolas Cage, Dennis Hopper, Lara Flynn Boyle, J T Walsh
MUCH better than expected - really kinda funny

Stonehenge Apocalypse
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than expected!!! Total B movie madness, and I only watched it coz it got Misha Collins in it (Castiel from 'Supernatural') ...but it was great ... and there was even some attempt at a decent plot ... Great fun!!

We watched Rear Window last night. We've been on a Hitchcock kick lately. I really enjoyed this one. I liked how Grace Kelly's character developed.

I even liked it. I usually hate ghetto stuff like that, but that was actually a VERY good movie. Defanantly not what I was expecting it to be.

We watched Date Night last night. Pretty awful, but I got to look at Mark Wahlberg shirtless a lot, so it wasn't a total loss.

Control, for the Millionth time. I keep discovering visual hints and forebodings in the movie, it's extremely well made.
Plus I love Joy Division, so yeah one of my favorite movies of all time cheers

Also, the Wrestler. Instant classic. It is a wonderful, wonderful movie, it's up there in my top ten now.
I have NEVER wanted a movie couple to get together so badly. You can't help but love the two of them.
Mickey's acting is sheer perfection. The end is excellent. The whole fuckign movie is excellent.

Plus, The Jacket. If you liked Butterfly effect, you'll love this one, too.
It's a movie about a soldier who returned from Iraq with a headshot and has severe memory loos and blackouts.
He gets accused of a killing and cannot defend himself because he has no clear memory of the day.
The judge thinks he's done it but finds him doli incapax, so poor Adrien is admitted to an asylum.
And the head of the institution is...Kris Kristofferson, a disaffected sadist who wants to punish criminals who have been found
criminally incapable by the law but are in fact just faking their mental problems.

Kris regularly drugs him, puts him in a straightjacket and in one of those cooling drawers they have for dead bodies.
After overcoming the shock, Adrien realizes there is a supernatural secondary effect to the drugs:
[[if you want to watch this movie, what is to follow might be a spoiler, so don't read the small black print. And by all means, DON'T read what is written on the DVD package, it was written by an idiot and reveals even more]]
Time travel!!
He travels to the future and finds out he has been killed in the institution (future perspective)/is going to be killed in a few days (drawer perspective). Now he has to repeat the trips and find out how he has been killed in order to prevent his death and other catastrophies.

The Fourth Kind 2009

Home Theater Adventures - Page 5 10907066_det

Shocked I'm Offically scared of white owls now Shocked jeezuzChrist!

Synopsis: Fact-based thriller involving an ongoing unsolved mystery in Alaska, where one town has seen an extraordinary number of unexplained disappearances during the past 40 years and there are accusations of a federal cover up.

It's inter cut with the real video and audio tape - it's gnawing at the back of my mind, scaring the crap outta me - I actually jumped in one scene - I NEVER do that in movies Evil or Very Mad fucking owls, why'd they show up as owls - my house and watts are lousy with owls.

Rest Stop 2006. Predictable newer horror movie, but it had it's moments.

Helter Skelter 1976 . Movie about the Manson murders. Ok in a "made for TV" kinda way for somethin made in '76.

Perfect Storm Watched 2 minutes of it & realised it wasnt the movie I thought it was. I seen it before. It was Ok. When I grabbed it, I was looking for the movie that had Kevin Spacey in it..tellin people about bad shit theyve did in their past. Cant think of the name of it. Its a Stephen King book I think (?)

Down. Diary Of A Mad Band
Still watching nightly doses of it here & there down

And some new p0rnz jerkoff Home Theater Adventures - Page 5 989565 Home Theater Adventures - Page 5 989565
