| Right what eva movies your watchin at home Frozen Kiss - lesson: don't do Meth in North Cali in a snow storm (or just don't do meth fer christsakes) Wristcutters: A Love Story - very good, plot obvious, concept somewhat original. wanted to see this for forever Final Destination (?) 4 - BAW HAHAHA I FUCKIN LOVED IT Jennifer's Body - meh - not too bad Towel Head - racism and child molesting - ok but meh Drag Me To Hell - expected funnier from Sam - but enjoyable and ok.... documentary ZOO. Beautifully shot and edited, narrated piece of film. The long and short of it. Man lets horse phuck him up the ass and rips the upper part of his colon and internally bleeds to death. Forget whether bestiality is right or wrong, after this man died animal control came to get the murderous horse and gelded him that night. Is that fair to chop off the horses weenie because he like to screw men? If the horse wasn't into it he wouldn't be hard to do it...right??...it was on tape. Horses owner arrested for Homicide as well. They claim they castrated the horse to keep any of the mans friends from coming to adopt it.......it ALLL seems wrong. The man who dies also had a cast of teh horses dick at his house and had been using it - sooooo how'd the real thing go so wrong? They didn't say. Anyone who has a unnatural interest in this matter can look up the story of "Mr. Hands" - he's the one who died. This happened in Washington state a few years back. Or watch '2 men and a horse' on youtube and and get a feeling of the damage that could be done | |

| Crap I watched a bunch and can't bemember the names but... Starting Out In the Evening - the first 1/2 hour or so I was rolling around in my chair with boredom. Then it got good and a wee creepy (relationshipwise) - 20 something pretty girl doing here thesis on a ? 70ish writer - and they're making out and stuff - ick - but the story took a turn and was good with subdued points of life and its one of those movies that makes you wanna hug your Dad. In retrospect I liked it a lot. There was also a gratuitous, old man, brief frontal nude by Frank Langella - I didn't need to see that - but it really struck home the point of reality. | |

| My boyfriend and I recently watched at home:
Seven Pounds: Two thumbs up, thats for sure. I REALLY enjoyed this movie. I am a big Will Smith fan and I like a lot of the stuff he does. He's got another great one here, he is really good in it.
The Wrestler: This movie was alright. Mickey Rourke did a pretty good job. Everyone else was mediocre. The ending was kinda - meh. Glad I didn't pay to see it at the theater, but not sorry I took the time to watch it at home.
The Changeling: What a horrible piece of garbage. Angelina Jolie sucked, story sucked, everything sucked. Ugh. Lol

| Me n Craig had a lazy day slobbing in front of the tv yesterday, caught up on several things we'd recorded over Xmas ...
THE INNOCENTS Black n white 1961 film starring Deborah Kerr Based on Henry James novella The Turn of the Screw We saw a more modern adaptation recently, which wasn't bad, but this original was excellent - film makers seem to have slightly lost the art of 'creepy' in favour of special effects and bloody-splattering gore-fest ... this was good - better than the remake, chilly and suspenseful.
DISTRICT 13 (proper title: Banlieue 13) French thriller, was truly brilliant - will be looking to buy a proper copy of this on dvd asap. Set in the future (errr - Paris 2010, ok so this film was made in 2004) ... with severely ghetto-ised Paris suburbs being over-run with drugs and gang-violence. Excellent acting throughout, lots of 'street-running' (I'm sure there's a technical or proper name for this, but it's as exciting as HELL to watch - eg - in the style of the first long chase-scene with James Bond in Casino Royale, with him and the other guy running allover the place leaping from buildings, running over roof-tops and basically utilising to full effect the environment theyre in) .... Anyway District 13 (or amybe they shoulda called it 'Borough 13) was excellent - it's a Luc Besson film, so I shouldn't be so surprised ... It's subtitled, but don't let that put you off ....
BLACK CHRISTMAS The original 1974 horror - A sorority house is terrorized by a stranger who makes frightening phone calls and then murders the sorority sisters during Christmas break. We saw the 2006 remake recently and that was just a hilarious slasher-fest .... this one was better I think - more suspensefull, and the violence was a bit more subtle ... much LESS of an effort was smade to explain the 'bad guy' in this version (the ipdate gives you flash-backs to the terrible childhood for the baddie, and attempts to show why he turned out so fukt-up) ... this '74 version was somewhat dated and the acting was a bit wooden, but the ending was wayyyyyyyyyyy better than the update ... good stuff!!
We then sat and watched the first two episodes of GLEE ..... Bwahahahahahahaha! HILARIOUS!! Then watched an episode Being Human (British TV drama about a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost who share a house ...) and an episode of Heroes ...

| The Hangover - funny stuff. I think the best part was the photos found on the camera at the end.
...my niece just saw the DVD and said "I wonder why EVERYBODY has that movie?"

| Been having a bit of a Gerard Butler-a-thon: The Ugly Truth - hilarious to start with then just dies from halfway through on... crap ending. P.S. I Love you - Actually a quite good movie, I liked it... I didn't expect to. Gamer - AWESOME!!!! Weird, violent, crazed, psychedelic and it has Terry Crews, you cannot ask more of a movie than that - HIGHLY recommended!! Nim's Island - It's a cute little movie this, it has Jodie Foster whom I have an abiding soft spot for, such an awesome actress - it's silly, don't expect genius but it's fun. Lara Croft The Cradle of Life - hilarious, stupid, pointless, a complete parody of Britishness. LOVE it. I take it with a huge pinch of salt and it's good every time 300 - *sigh* what can I say, near naked extremely hot men in slow motion killing stuff with buckets of blood thrown in - perfection. Oh, the er movie and stuff is pretty well done also, nice n weird n depraved n shit - LOVE the guy with the swords sewn to his arms! But I mainly watch this movie to perv... lots... and then some... the sex scene is pooh - I actually expect some black guy to walk across in front of them asking in a husky French accent 'do you have trouble getting an erection?' - but the good long glimpse of Gerard's naked taut little bum preceding it MORE than compensates. AH... this movie reminds me why I love men mmmmmm | |

| the story of anvil
I have never really been a fan of anvil...but I always knew their place in metal and respect their influence.
watching this, I first got the impression that they were just living in the past, couldn't let go of what they once had. Stuck in the early eighties. But as the movie went on, I saw them different. They were old kids that never let go of their dream. Never compromised, never sold out, and never gave up. They struggled on through hard years where most people would have thrown in the towel. I was really impressed by their "never quit" attitude. It's a very uplifting documentary.
It's nice to see a band do it for the music, and not the money. I am sure they want to get paid of course, but that's not their motivation...they just wanna play, and play for people who wanna hear
