thanks everyone. its been a rough few days.

when he broke his wrist he was telling a nurse about having spells when his eyes go black and he feels out of his body. she recommended an MRI for him. he had it on sunday. tuesday they called with the results. hes got a spot on his brain that needed further investigation.

they first told us it looked bad. so for 2 days we were fucken sick. totally sick. got an appt for him htis am with a neurologist, whos job it is to read these things n know what to do. it all went thru very fast which is shocking. especially with our shitty past with our insurance. the dr. isnt sure what it is. he thinks its low grade, which is what we wanted to hear. its 4 cm deep on the inside of the left side. not a good spot. but he really thinks that it will be benign. hes got another mri tomorrow, and hopefully it will be read by monday and we will know where to go from there.

prayers, thoughts nad postive vibes still needed. we are far fromout of the woods, just a small step in what seems to be the right direction.

we feel like htis has been the worst roller coaster ride of our lives. nothing in the world could ever prepare a person to face this kind of situation

and thank GOD he broke his wrist. w/out that happening we would have never even known about htis under lying situation. its like a giant banana peel thrown out in front of him to lead us to where we needed to be

When i heard it ripped whats left of my guts right the fuck out, so im glad and stoked all went as well as could be. I know its just the beginning but i know he's gonna be ok there is no other fuckin option.

The Vigues are my family and ill be god damned if im not gonna do everything i can to get Mr Oblivious through this shit

I will keep Joe and the whole Vigue family in my thoughts. If there is anything more I can do just let me know. It is, of course, better to know about it and having the chance to get it looked at, just like you said Hope. I hope it is benign. Waiting can't be easy – hold together as a family and you will make it through.

Joe's gonna be okay. Mostly I pray more kids get someone like the Vigues to take care of them. Keeping you all in my thoughts, and if there is anything I can help with let me know.

Thank you all for the well wishes and positive vibes. We should have more concusive results tomorrow. As Hope said, he had another MRI last friday and we've been waiting all week to find out what's going on . We're sure that if they saw something major this time around, they would have contacted us by now. Or at least that's what we believe. It's been rough but suprisingly, we've maintained and have kept thinking positive.

If the specialist is not sure after this latest MRI, we're gonna go to the Loma Linda Childrens Hospital so they can take a look. The most positive part of this all is that Joe doesn't have any major symptoms like daily seizures, headaches etc. The spot also seems to match the color of the natural fluid / water in his brain. Which led the specialist to think it was nothing major after the first MRI. But obviously he wanted the 2nd MRI which was with contrast so he can get a much greater look at it to confirm what he originally thought. That's all we got for now. We'll have more info tomorrow and hopefullly it's nothing major and we can move on with our lives. Thanks again everyone. We love you all very much.

sorry its taken a few days to reply.
the results are not good and we needed a few days to let it all sink in.

it is a tumor called a "Glioma", its low grade for now and it HAS to come out.
no way to know if its cancerous til it comes out.
we are waiting on the referral approval to take him for the 2nd opinion at childrens.
we are all very scared and freaking out. theres a million more questions than answers.
its just so much to digest.
being 4 cm deep inside his brain is the worst
theres no radiation or chemo that can help due to its location. and there can be many complications in its removal.
hes a champ. so strong. we have caught him feeling his head and looking lost in thougt.
never felt so helpless in our lives.

total fucken suckage.
we feel so alone. all of our support is so far away.
i dont even know what else to say.
i think of each and every one of you, all over the globe and ur prayers and positivity shining like little tiny flashlights for Joe, GODS gotta see all these lights and understand how special htis boy is. we dont mind travelling the hardest road there is to go, as long as we all make it and are standing together.

luff you too chicka....and to be honest. we really couldnt do it with out you all. i can tell u how i really feel and not worry about joe or layne reading it and being upset. joe told me he only cried cuz i did. i know i have to be strong..im so scared i cant do it,. im so scared im gunna let everyone down. i dont feel strong. i feel like a little girl who wants her mama to fix it all. theres nothing in a persons life that can prepare them for this.

You will do it. Honestly I don't know how myself, but YOU WILL DO IT!
And there's really no way you can let anyone down! You are strong, even when you feel you're not. Just look at everything you and Rob have built up so far!
It will be so damn hard, but you'll make it!

ya know...but i think its an obvious answer. we were chosen to get joe thru this. we are the only ones he can count on, depend on no matter what. its more about joe than us. but its really had to stay focused on that and not slip into the negative. sooooo hard.

I do not think I have ever felt so much sympathy on such a personal level for someone I have never met. For several years now I was lucky to have people on the other side of the planet sharing their personal thoughts and feelings with me. Today I am very thankful to consider you my friends. Reading what you are going through at the moment is as real for me as it can be. I wish I could do more for you! My thoughts go out to Joe and all of you. I will think positive and hope for the best!
