I don't know how to explain...I have a special way of doing this stuff, not better or worse than anyone else's but just uncontrollable, passive.
I write 90% of my stuff, both lyrics and riffs, when my head is completely empty. When I wake up, when I drive or longboard or when I'm already half asleep, or indeed while jamming, stoned or very sad, that's when I hear the complete part. And in the same way, I hear a riff and bam there's the part I think fitting, even if the others think it's idiotic to make that particular part the chorus or whatever. I can't really imagine recycling lyrics, except in a radically different context.
For example, this morning,I took The Punchline, which is 100% in your face aggression, and turned it into a sad minor scale song on the acoustic, but with identical lyrics.
Like when Alanis Morrissette turned that retarded Fergie/Black Eyed Peas song into a sad slow song and completely perverted the context, giving it a lot more meaning this way and revealing what is of so wrong with the original.

It's the eprfect Hemingway: Short sentences, no bullshit. Magic realism.
All he does is tell a very simple story, but you get the deeper meaning without him shoving your nose in it like many authors do.

Its not just today, its been the last 5 fuckin years. My uncle whom im real close with found out a few days ago that he has brain,pancreatic,lung cancer!! Fuckin shit is never gonna let up he lost his wife a little over year ago,his daughter 6 months later. So once again im left in the driver seat of a fucking trainwreck.
